Al-Anon Family Groups is an organization at the national level that works to help friends and families of alcoholics find recovery. Meetings can be found all over the United States as well as over 130 countries throughout the world. The following information can be found on the website:

The World Service Office (WSO) is the international headquarters of Al-Anon and Alateen. The WSO publishes an informative monthly newsletter. An email is sent to all Al-Anon groups with the newest In the Loop newsletter. If you would like to receive the free In the Loop newsletter, click this link.

 

There are also various social media applications that include Al-Anon information and support. Per the Public Outreach section of the Al-Anon/Alateen Service manual, “While social networking and social media internet sites and blogs present special challenges to members and the WSO, social networking can be an important venue for carrying the message of Al-Anon as it fulfills its primary purpose of reaching millions who are not yet aware of the existence of our fellowship.”

Michigan AFG

Michigan Al-Anon Family Groups is the Al-Anon group at the state level. The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems.  

Southwest Michigan AIS (SWMAIS)

The SW Michigan Al-Anon Information Service (AIS) is responsible for local website, meeting list, phone service, community relations, newsletter, Al-Anon and Alateen literature available for purchase at the Alano Club in Kalamazoo, and other services to help the groups and members within our area. We support the meetings in Battle Creek, Centreville, Coldwater, Kalamazoo, Niles, New Buffalo, Otsego, Paw Paw, Richland, South Haven, and Stevensville. To comply with Al-Anon traditions to be self-supporting, we rely on contributions from local groups and Al-Anon members. We welcome all members of Al-Anon in Southwest Michigan to consider one of our many service positions. We pride ourselves on being a team of service volunteers who help one another in service.
